Humane
White Dove Release Standards
1. A dove release should be done with trained white homing pigeons. It is
inhumane to release domestic white doves because they cannot fly or fend for
themselves.
2. White homing pigeons should not be released more than 45 miles from their
home loft.
3. White homing pigeons should be released outdoors during day light hours.
4. White homing pigeons should not be released at night or in inclement weather
because they cannot find their way home immediately.
5. White homing pigeons should not be released indoors, for they may be injured.
6. White homing pigeons should be carried in comfortable, well ventilated wicker
baskets or pet carriers to prevent suffocation or discomfort.
7. Dove release professionals should dress appropriately and be early to each
event.
We
conduct our dove releases in accordance with the Humane White Dove Release
Standards of the American White Dove Association
